My fuel pressure has been dropping with acceleration, which I think could be the fuel pump on its way out. However, I hooked a voltmeter to it and am getting negative 12.XX volts. I also ran the voltmeter on the egr solenoid and am getting negative readings there too. Anyone know what could cause this? I have a 2002 Jetta 1.8t (AWP).

we sure do! I used my friends dads meter and sure enough the leads were switched on it. So at least its getting proper voltage. Too bad its probably on its way out. Unless there is another way that fuel pressure would be low, especially on acceleration. I already replaced the fuel pressure regulator, MAF, both O2 sensors, coolant sensor and am going to be replacing the coils and injectors on monday. I got my VAG-COM today too and didn't get any fault codes, but noticed that the boost seems off ( 980 mbar at idle) . I'm going to do a boost leak test tomorrow.
