Been "snooping" for a while now but I brought home an '03 GTI 20th AE in BMP last week with some of the "general" mods: APR chip, Forge DV, short shifter, coil-overs and alcohol injection, (which is waaaaay cool!). She seems to have been taken care of and did come with some good records.
This is my 1st foray into VW's as I originally come from the BMW side of things.
I was wondering about the VAGCOM I read a lot about... Where's a good place to get one? Will a regular old OBD II reader work? I might already have one - the PO gave me a link to go from the OBD port to a PC to tune the APR Chip...It's got a big blue box-like end to it. Would this be one?
I've been reading the FAQ/DYI sections and have come to the conclusion that you guys definitely seem to know what the h#!* you're talking about! Seems like a great community!
