rpm at 60mph

this is absurdly incorrect for a 2.0 5-speed, let's see you get a picture of your car doing this. i just did a whole lot of highway driving and my 5-speed does about 3.1k at 70mph.

Yes, it's normal.

It was the first difference i noticed when i got my 1.8T. My wifes 2.0L revving SO high.:laugh:

It was starting to get loud at 120k-ish, replaced oil pump and now its back to being quiet again. (Engine, valve noise, etc.)

80mph @ 3,300-3,600: yea, that sounds right.

i have a 1.8t that also revs high...

at like 60 im at 2900rpms in 5th but it doesnt seem to be struggling 80 mph would be pushing 3800rpm than the motor gets loud.

really wish i had a 6 speed

This is something that I've always found interesting. I have a 2.0 btw and that's about right for RPM/speed.

Anyone with a VR wanna comment on what RPM you see at 60/70/80mph? My main reason for wanting to do an engine swap is because I do alot of highway driving and I have to wonder how long my 2.0 can put up with driving at 3.5-4.0 K RPM

my 99.5 vr6 5sp,at : 80 mph is about 3000 rpm :)
