Lets say we have 2k to play with, something that looks good, and drives decent. (A better looker can handle worse). Living in California means that modified engines are a pain to deal with. So mostly stock, or with very minimal mods(like a chip, or something easily reversible) Or pre 1975, and the only limit is a limited budget.
The easy answer is fox body or camaro/firebird. Personally, I don't like either of those.
According to this there are not too many contenders. And I doubt the accuracy, the Roadmaster is kissing 15, but the Impala SS is 15.6? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Mid 90s Saab turbos are a surprise, and right up my alley. Also they say a 95 GTI VR6 will in the ballpark, which is also kinda surprising.
