I would like to lower the rocco and stiffen it up a bit.

This car is my commuter, it is not my baby or my project or anything. I have a R32 for all that.

But, I can't justify spending 600 bucks on springs or shocks, or 1000+ for a different set of coilovers.

The 350ish price of the racelands are perfect for what I want out of the car, but are they worth it?

Do they last a while? Do they cause any other problems to the car?

They just seem to be the most cost effective way to stiffen her up and lower her.

THanks!

run away! i have them and wish i just woulda spent the extra money for some weitechs(sp?) or something

only drove on em for a little over a year and they're blown out. the ride sucked to start with and its
worse now.

i was once like you i didnt want to spend half what i payed for a car on suspension. but its true, ya get
what ya pay for

good to know.

sounds like ill go with a cup kit or some lowering springs and shocks.

pretty ridiculous how much they are considering they fit any 80s VW though. :(

any suggestions?

Eibachs and Autotech springs are my only experience with my mk4, and i loved it. i might go that route again.

BTW the customer service is top notch, i told them that I thought the rears that had were missing pieces, they sent me a new set of rears no questions asked and next day air.

If you don't like the product, say something???? Also I believe they have a warranty, email the customer service.

everyone thinks they have race cars or track cars.
Their friggin fine.

Hmmmmmm, Perhaps I should remove the big numbers from the side of my cars?

why dont you get a new pair for free since they are under warranty

I have the rokkor set on my rocco and they are identical to the racelands and they are fine. Very stiff and will chip your teeth....Not fun to commute with tho...U feel every crack rock pump person pebble u run over

Are you down super low, or lowered and average amount?

I have both racelands production line and a set of new prototypes they're getting ready to release. The og one's are a lot more stiff and jarring but as performance goes I think they're fine.

The prototypes have a lot nicer ride and are built a lot more sturdy, bigger thicker adjustment rings, and springs.

The only other difference I noticed on the new one's is I had to run spacers (8mm will work but 10mm looks better), with stock 14in gti teardrops.

I had an in with them for a while, Alas no more, they moved out of Reno and are headed for the east coast was the last rumor I heard.

I'll ask when the new versions are gunna be out.

but yet they are not blown.
:pScrew them coil overs.;)
You will be much happier.

Perhaps you should cause a Scirocco has never been proven to win...

OH WAIT>>>

The Scirocco has been piloted to Solo NATION CHAMPIONSHIPS in:

In FSP 2006, 2005 and 2000

In SM 2005

In GS 1979, 1980 and 1981

Not a racecar? PAASHAW...
Now days the Scirocco is not classed as well as it once was. The cars are becoming rare so the rule books are shifting to favor more powerful cars. Still the Scirocco is very fun on the track and on a good day can still win. That is if you have a race car.... And you know we all think we do? :D
