They did a poor job on that red one from Canada, (no offense). I've seen the project thread, and you can tell they had no body work experience at all when they did this. But for an amateur build, it's still decent.

Since i saw that build, i've wanted to do it myself, properly. :) And this might very well be my next mk2 project :D

I've been looking around for suitable window/frame donors, and i have found a very good match, where the dimensions and angles suit the mk2 almost pefectly!

I'm a auto collision tech / panel beater, or whatever you call it in the states, so i can pull this off
Hold on here, may I remind you our beer is stronger here. Maybe he had a few too many and thought it was a good idea:laugh:

I'll have to chime in,

I'm one of those that were involved in the red wagon.

- We totally had no experience in bodywork (obvious)
- There was beer involved
- The owner is a bit of a hack, it reflects in how it was built, sadly
- We were young, dumb and broke

Overall, we had a ridiculous amount of fun, even in the hard times. We were three in this, others helped but the three are, the owner of the car, the one whose place was and me. The owner of the car kinda moved on after the car started to run, it was never really finished. He ran it for a while then transmission problem forced him to park it. Its been a few years already since then, AFAIK he still have it
