resignator delete help

hey everyone finally bought a 02 gti. bought it 3 days ago so happy:D i wanna delete the resignator my friend said he would do it for me and all i havta do is get a pipe to weld in place of it. does anyone know what size piping ill need in order to do this? thanks alot!

no since the piping going to and coming from your stock resonator, assuming your talking about your center resonator and not your tail muffler, will be closest to 2.25 and will be flanged slightly to fit on. 3 inches is way to big to fit onto the stock piping.
