After about 12-14 hours of driving it gets easier. Especially when you have internet, and 2-3 people in the car to talk to.
Freeway mile are the easiest on your car. Just make sure everything is in working order, oil changed etc... and you should be fine.
I can guarantee this will be a trip you will never forget.
To everyone thinking of coming with us, we are taking I-5 down and meeting up with people along the way.
We won't be speeding. 80 tops. I'll driving a fully loaded Eurovan with 3-4 dudes, so no one should have a problem keeping up.
I guess i will be the bad guy.....
Here are a few other things to consider....
1. Make sure your car can make a drive like this... In other words take care of your maint prior to getting on the road because chances are you will be on your own to get things taken care of! This cruise has a time line ...So with that being said please make sure you have the funds to get your car repaired if it does break.
2. Invest in AAA
3. We have planned stops for Gas and Bathrooms... If you have a small bladder you will have to catch up once again we have a timeline to maintain and if we are stopping every 20 min we will never make it!
4. Try to atleast have a second person with you so if you do get tired you can trade off on driving.
5.Have money for gas food and hotel!
6. Remember that we are representing a community and the larger the group the more attention we will get... So if you act like and ass expect to be treated like one!
I am sure there are more but these cover the basics....
