When I make a right hand turn and it's in 3rd gear, and get on the gas it just spins. I have to go down a gear for it to move. It doesn't do this all the time. It's happened about 4-5 times.

i think mine does that when its really hot and when it was really cold outside..
how to check fuild?

Interesting. Again, it doesn't do it all the time. And when it did do it, I don't remember running it hard before hand or anything like that. It just did it out of the blue. Was making a right hand turn in third gear and when I accelerated it started to spin. Car didn't move at all until I put it in second gear.

wow i see you have a 2012 how manys do you have?
i have a 2011 with 5k

i assume the dsg uses oil pressure like any other tranny. The fuild might be thin..idk or maybe like i said its the heat.. its been 104 -106index
maybe the car pulled timing..

now that think it when it was cold it upshifted good but once i let off.. the rpms would come back down slow.. after a couple of runs it would seem normal..

DSG slipping

I think mine did this the other night while I was manually shifting from 3rd to 4th. Haven't been able to duplicate the problem but hv only 6k miles on my 2012. I've read other threads about this but I hope this isn't happening. 1st the frame bolts were loose now this. I'm not liking what I'm seeing from the 2012 cc.

I posted a topic about this as well. Was planning on taking my car in next week for the courteous check-up with only 900 miles on it! Same thing happened twice in 3rd gear while rounding a corner. Seems like it slipped into a "neutral" spot and just revved up until I shifted back to the automatic mode.

Only did it twice but what I do now in the DSG mode is downshift into third while rounding the corner and left the tranny engage before I step on the gas. So far it works and seems to shift better.

I did explain to the dealer about the slippage and they just gave me some lame excuses, so I am taking it to another dealership for a "second" opinion. I spoke to VOA about it along with other issues regarding my CC and they reassured me that any dealer I take it to they will take care of any concerns I may have....so we shall see about that.
