They have a 400cdi in europe
wish they would bring a blutec one here, even if its a 320, maybe hook it up with three pedals too, and give us a stripped base model so more could afford one

Never will Merc ever bring a stripped model here. Goes against their branding.

You're slightly low. A G55 weighs 5721lb, almost 3 short tons and just over 2.5 long (metric) tons.

I have had some seat time in a G55 and its a beast! If the new 5.5TT motor is kept at the same output as the CLS/S/CL applications it will be amazing. I am unsure how they will move the intercoolers to keep the ground clearance in spec with the G550 as they are some great toys off-road but the highest thing these cars will climb is a speedbump in the US typically.

^^ how about a bank vault on wheels, they are just as heavy. Ugly trucks but they are very comfy and the seating position is wonderful.
