$1100 seems a little high. I paid $580 for my 40k including the DSG service. It would have been more but I had them delete the tire rotation( my tire dealer does that), Wipers and pollen filter(I did those), and I had 15% off coupon. Otherwise it may have been between $800-900. My dealer was following very closely the VW required service in the owner's manual. The DSG service by itself is almost $400.
My 40K Service experience
+1 cb, except I had them do everything and the total was within spitting distance of $800. 15% off coupon got me to $680 OTD. In addition, they did $1400 worth of other repairs, all covered by my great Platinum extended warranty, all in a single day. What a convenience. Liking Emich VW in Denver big time...

Great for any "do it yourself" guy, spend a sunday to do that 40K yourself and save money!:laugh::laugh: free from big brother............and under $180 in parts including new wiper blades
ECS tuning (among others) has "40k" packages with all fluids and filters. just pick your car and hit the easy button to add to shopping cart.
