I prefer the previous model and I don't think red is the best color for that but I would still drive the balls off that car. It's funny that it can 100mph before my car will hit 60 :(

Love it..but in my eyes its not m3 competition because for some reason AMG= no manual trans option I could never understand
I love when people say this. MB makes one of the, if not the best automatic transmissions in the world, and one of the worst manuals. Why in the hell would they make it with a standard box then?:screwy:

And what does that have to do with BMW? When the head of the M division, when speaking on the new M5 seemed rather pissed that they keep on having to design manual gearboxes for the car at the sacrifice of performance for the US market.

Ill still take an M3 or a CTS-V. Never been a fan of automatics..regardless if they have a "manual" option. Doesnt give the feed back and such as a nice firm manual transmission. And IMO, its rather ugly. Kind of looks llike a honda accord coupe as stated

Local dealer has a 2012 white sedan with the black-red interior, really nice.... would choose it over the coupe.

That aside, too bad Benz doesn't offer up a good manual.

For a car introduced in 2008, the M3 still holds its own.

Agreed on both counts.

Those of you complaining about the lack of a manual need to drive this car (or the sedan). The auto works well on this car and suits its personality.

That said, all of Mercedes attempts at building a coupe in the last decade have come out looking decidedly feminine. This is a rip roaring, snorting muscle car with all the visual tension of a bar of soap.

Love this car. Trying to talk my parents into this or the sedan when the lease on their c-class is up. I'd prefer a cts-v because all man pedal jokes aside I just prefer a manual, but that doesn't mean I can try to talk them into it so I can drive it from time to time :)

$81,000 as-tested.

81 grand for a C-class? For 90, you can get a new F10 M5.
And for 89 you can get the E63 AMG. Option any car high enough and it will be nearly as $ as the next class up.

I know we're all entitled to our own opinion, but I can't comprehend the Honda appearance comparisons. This car looks fantastic, especially in person it has a strong but not overbearing presence.
