Passat TDI SEL Premium review - Steve Hammes

I have smelled the fumes once or twice. One of the times, at a stop light, it was particularly bad so I changed to recirc air to get rid of it. Was hoping the auto recirc would have done it for me. :(

Weather overlay on Nav??

at the very end he shows the Weather option under the Extras button. My system (same car) does not show that option. Is there a configuration I'm missing somewhere? Or, is this tied to Sirius (have not subscribed nor do I plan to)?

I have TDI SEL... there is snow tire option.

What is this? Different setting for traction control, ABS, and DSG operation in snow tire application?

I have snow tire option in my TDI SEL but I don't need it in my climate.

I smelled the odor once when the DPF was in its cycle of burning off the soot. The fan also ran for an extended time period too when cut the car off while it was in the cycle. Maybe this could explain what he smelled.

That wasn't my question! In his video, he shows a button under the 2D/3D menu on the Nav unit that results in overlaying weather conditions on top of the navigation map. Go to 3:40 in on the video and you'll see what I'm referencing. It is that function that I don't see on my unit.

I was wondering if mine supports that functionality as well. Sirius calls that information Travel Link. I had it on my FFH. I used the fuel prices a lot and the weather a couple of times but when I did it saved me from driving into a hail storm. Instead of sitting on the highway getting my paint job trashed in rush hour traffic I took the kids to dinner at a nice little Mexican place near their school. I've never used the movie listing because Sirius is way slower than Having the copilot use their phone. Same for stocks and sports scores.
