i didn't know if anyone knew that a 2.7tt tb bolts right up to the 24v manifold and plugs right in? just have to run a coolant bypass. Its about a 1/8" larger then the oem 24v tb. I had one lieing around so i bolted it on. I wouldn't expect any gains unless your under forced induction, but its nice to know. Sorry if this is a repost and already general knowledge. Just thought i'd share. :D

Just drove it again and it does have split second throttle response. Still has the nasty problem of if you shift too fast it bulks. But if your just cruising in a gear and strike it, its pretty instant go. Also I think cooling a tb with coolant is a dumb idea anyway so with the 2.7 tb I think it should stay cooler. I don't understand why vw tries to "cool" our oem tb with coolant while its attached to a plastic manifold..... how does heat transfer from plastic to aluminum? So in actuality the hot a$$ engine coolant flowing through the oem tb just keeps it hot at all times.

its not for cooling, its to prevent freezing in very low temps which could cause moisture to freeze or some **** and damage the stepper motor. same reason why they have a pcv heater stock. to prevent freezing while in operation. so basically, its just another thing to delete :)
I thought those two were to help emissions??

What did you do with the coolant line that went to the t/b? Any pics of it want to try it on my 12V
