Anyone else get defective USRT kit?

I've got ll my linkage out of my car.....I go to match the old stuff with the new stuff and so far two pieces have had bad threads!

This is really frustrating, I pay good money for this kit, disable my car and now I'm going to have to send it back while my car sits there.

Anyone else have any problems with their kits?

I don't know about you but I look at and play with everything I buy long before attempting to install it in my car. It really sucks that your car is inoperable while waiting on a replacement but you probably should have noticed that long before tearing your car apart. It's not like it just doesn't fit . It's an actual visible defect. I hope you get it sorted quickly.

How bad is the thread damage? I imagine the right die/thread chaser would clean them up quickly and solve your dilemma.

Why not just get some new stainless hardware? Doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Were they stripped when the package was opened (I have a hard time figuring out this one), or did you forget to back-thread the nuts before threading them down? Was the kit purchased second hand?

i can't tell you how many times i've had to modify or fix aftermarket parts so that they would work, from what i've seen the USRT kit is top notch and one of the best kits out there. i personally, wouldn't sweat a lil bit of thread damage, annoying as it may be. but it is understandable buying a new part you expect perfection, but unfortunately people are human and mistakes happen sometimes :thumbup:

on a second note it is always important to test fit multiple pieces together such as the USRT kit or any other aftermarket part you buy before disabling your car and then finding out after the fact, in time and experience you will learn usually if you don't do this, it will bite you in the ass later ;)
