Has anyone used the remote tune service? I just received my cable, took them 2 weeks to ship it , and they didn't include any instructions, software nothing... I've tried to call them, but they are closed already. Just need some info on getting started.

Try facebook https://www.facebook.com/gonzotuning?fref=ts

Next time go with a more reputable tuning company.
Im really starting to wish I did. Took them two weeks to ship out my cable, and yes I had the 1 day shipping option selected. I called them three times, 1 call they said they would check up on it and call back. They never did.... My other calls went unanswered. When they finally ship my cable, I receive a generic ebay looking vag-com knock off, the same cable I bought two years ago for an Audi. That cable came in an envelope with nothing else, not even a thank you. Not even an email saying when you get the cable, call us, email us, go to this site, nothing... :sly:

In for answers as, during their Black Friday sale thing, I look a look at them since they were offering $75 off a tune and saw that they offered the remote tuning option.

They didn't have an explanation on the site regarding how the remote tuning worked, however, so I held off on purchasing the tune just yet.

Hope everything gets sorted out for you man.

The proper channel for remote tunes is getting in contact with the support team on the Gonzo Tuning page.

The make of the cable is insignificant. If it's after hours, it's after hours and they're closed. He will send you a tuning suite and a "code" it will download and flash the file. It all takes about 5 minutes.

You also have to remember the cables are loaner cables and if they're all out you have to wait for one to come back before yours goes out.

When you flash the file you will be happy.

Also, I'm not reprimanding you, I'm just being direct with the situation. There's also other options if you can't get ahold of him, such as calling a dealer. Most of the time we can answer any questions if he's busy (even if the dealer is on the other side of the country).

Though a an email ticket, Gonzo got a hold of me. He was able to remote login to my computer, downloads some files and flashes the ECU for you. The process took a little while but I think that was mostly cause of the ****y laptop i had to use :p

I can say the tune is pretty legit, spiked at 25 psi and held about 22. Felt amazing :D

You held 22 psi to redline on a k03s?

Props to Gonzo for dealing with this situation properly and in a very timely fashion. I'm actually excited to compare his 2+ against unitronic 1+ i currently have :thumbup:
Drive down to NJ and you can test drive my car. :D

The remote tuning service is brand new and it's a bit of an experiment done by Gonzo. Problem is he bought ~15 cables and people haven't been the best about returning them so he's been in a bit of a bind. He also runs his shop as a one man show so its difficult. As he said best way to contact is via the FB page or email.
