You might be surprised at how many participants on the Golf/Jetta I forum also own a Golf or Jetta IV.

I am not a happy go lucky guy, who is going to waste his time trying to find out what few of the newer VW owners actually like the VW counterculture.. I do wave to older cars though, as they must be F-ing crazy to own a 15 plus year old car... LOL... Anybody can walk into a dealership, and make payments on a new car. Few take the challenge of maintaining, and upkeeping an older car.. SO props are deserved. And I am ghetto cheap... Just my view.. In 15 years, I may actually wave to a mk4 1.8t, if they are still round in decent condition.. LOLOLOL Todd

G4/J4's and all, and if they appreciate what they have to work on, they also appreciate what they have in the new style. Just my opinion, and man, shoulda seen what I erased out of that comment. I had to sit there for 5 minutes just to try to be nicer. My opinion. sorry if it offends you.

Most of the time people think I am a freak, but so what. I'll even do it to guys in Rabbits while cruising in my Audi. That is always good for a laugh.
BTW, the MK4 forum does suck. I can't tell you how many times I have been flamed for posting pics of my Jetta, just because I went for the OEM+ look. Not enough "bling bling" for the youngsters.
Oh well, that is why I stay in the MK1/MK2 forums most of the time

DUUUDE, dont you know, all mk4's are race cars. he needs all the carbon he can get..... mk1's can't be fast....

Kinda reminds me of when I worked at a Motorcycle shop, and I'd see all these sport bikes come in with Carbon fiber "stick-on" dress panels. I was like WTF?? These dont look particularly cool, and they certainly dont make your bike any lighter. Oh well.... Why loose sleep over it

Nothing against Hondas, but to ask for respect for Hondas on the Vortex is like going to Oakland Coliseum, and asking Raider fans to show some respect for the the 49er's.
I've seen most Honda owners, having pretty decent respect for VW, but let quit re-hashing the "I hate hondas" stuff that I haven't really seen initiated in this forum.

Even though I continue to work on my rabbit and enjoy the snot out of it, posts like this are one of the reasons I find myself coming to the Vortex less and less.
While the Mk4 forums aren't exactly the pinnacle of the vortex, there is no reason to hate on them just because you dont agree with what they do.
I got my Rabbit long before I got my Mk4, but just because the Mk4 gets me to work in stock form and the Rabbit is for fun and modifying is no reason to hate all Mk4 owners.
As far as Mk4's and waving goes, you can only wave at so many people on older VW's and get the finger so many times before you just stop waving at them. Next time you wave(or dont wave) at a Mk4 owner think to your self "he might have 3 other VW's at home, and just happens to be driving this one today".

Think that you hit the nail on the head there Xanthazar. I don't hate them. Jealous I guess.
Anyway. We all drive Vdubs, so um... Mod...lock this... Didn't meant to start anything.
