Sweet! Now gimme a gloss black finish on dat wheel! :p
See, now we're starting to have some fun! :D

I need to work on this finish a bit more, but this is the first rendering. I think changing the colors of the R logo to add contrast will make it look better.

and here is a simple screen shot.

I just came across this old picture on my Photobucket account from a few years ago. This was my old one car garage setup from a few years ago. It was tight but it worked.

While we're working on a wishlist, why not make them $6 a wheel? I don't need those two other zeroes.
Ask Santa, he is your best bet...

Btw, the above wheel is 18" x 8"

What would this wheel look like without that giant cup in the center? I am thinking that the spokes would concave, instead of being so flat. Then the cup where the lug bolts are would be gone, or mostly gone.

Nice, I like that smooth transition a lot better.

Now that we are playing with that surface, what if it had a curvature inflection and the spokes ended up tangent with that inner plane where the lugs are. That would really smooth out the whole shape.

Here you go :)

and a wheel with a little RS style

Looks pretty good. Although that center area could probably use a little something, or maybe the spokes could come closer to the lug holes.

I was thinking this design was starting to look like the VMR V709, but I think your original design is much more like that. Now it is kind of like a cross between the V709 and V721, but the center is much smoother. The rim/spoke intersection is also very different.

I reduced the center area's diameter and lightened up the rendering a bit.

Its fun watching the design change with everybody's input. I hope more people chime in for other projects as well.

I was serious :(
Oh I apologize, I read it incorrectly the first time around. I could print one off in our 3D printer and it wouldn't be too bad. If you wanted one machined out of aluminum I'd have to talk to my machinist.
