EURO '92 Mark 2 Blub Tray Wiring / conversion

So, I have new FK standard tail lights and bulb trays in from Germany. I've gone over the thread and have a good idea on what to do. However, upon using the harness or crude direct connection VIA the cables. Do I combine all the grounds to one connection? this just looks and seems like poor wiring.
Thus far in with the Fog bulb. How is everyone splicing the brake light bulb wiring to power it?
Pictures of your SUCCESSFUL conversion installed would be the most helpful prior to me doing the install.
This is my daily driver and do not want to deal with blow outs on relays or fuses.

Much appreciated to those whom reply.

About to undergo this on my new lights. The connector is a pain to try and source!!! Anyone know of a place to source the Jetta connectors that will plug into the Euro bulb trays or a part number? And is it the any MK2 Jetta connectors?
Thanks
J. Hines

I'm basically almost done with this conversion, but I cant seem to get my brake light to work properly. I think its all straight forward except for the whole ground part.

On the pass side, what do i do with all the ground wires once everything else is matched up? There is more than one so I'm a bit confused on that and the instruction of "running a new ground".

Any feedback and pictures would be greatly appreciated.

bump...help please
The chassis of the bulb tray only needs one ground. ground the tray with the main ground from the fuse box(this comes in the bundle that runs from fuse panel up the rocker to the driver tail light). Then everything jumps over to the pass side. Its hard to explain with out a solid diagram. I did this conversion just by looking at the layout of the euro tray. The grounds that ground the US bulb holders do not need to be used, they are just jumped from the main ground anyway. I hope this helps.
think of it like this
main ground to euro bulb tray chassis (discard extra grounds, they are just jumped from the main for the many bulb holders on US cars)
switched voltage for parking lights
switched voltage (on brake pedal) for brake lights
switched voltage (on blinker stalk) for blinker
switched voltage (on reverse switch at trans) for reverse lights.
they all have one wire from fuse box and are jumped to pass side. the only ones you really have to pay close attention to is blinker for obvious drive/pass side reasons.

good luck, take your time. remember, its fused for a reason. if you make a mistake, replace the fuse and try again.

note: it helped alot to have a helper actuate brakes, blinker so on as I move through the wiring
EDIT: I re read what you said. there is no re-running of any ground. everything you need is there.

if i understand this correctly, essentially you just pick one of the original grounds, wire it into the euro holder and discard the rest?

Yes this is correct. one main ground from drivers side. discard the smaller gauge grounds to each bulb as they are just split off the main ground. you'll see this when you dig into it. make sure you connect the jumper ground that feeds the pass side, and discard the extra ground on that side as well.
