Started with the 1998 Accord V6, continues today in every model Honda and Acura stuff a motor into. It hasn't received many significant changes, VTEC on both cam lobes, variable cylinder but Honda hasn't built a new V6 in forever.

They've in reality only ever built 3 V6 engines, the C-series that powered the early Acuras, the special C-series in the NSX and the J

That's 15 years.

Any other 15 year old motors around?

2 litre in the 98 Beetle is essentially the same as the 2 litre in the Jetta.

Let's see who gives in first. :)
This is actually probably the closest.

the j-series wouldnt be it, because its VERY different than the original one. The original was a 3l v6, that displacement isnt even made anymore, as well as huge cylinder head differences, like integrated manifolds.

dates back to '98 I believe with the f-body.
hm, for some reason I thought they were around longer. then again, they've been around 15 years now

I think you can still buy the 4.3 V6 in the lowest spec chevy trucks, and it dates back to '85.
Considering the poor fuel economy ratings... it must be offered just because dirt cheap to make and reliable (like Ford's old 3.0 push-rod Vulcan V6).

Still- even though the engine debuted in 85, it had many changes.
The block was changed for 96.. so the current engine (block) dates back to 96.
Most other changes were heads, intake, and fuel injection.

Started with 130 hp, now has 195 hp.

if Mazda hadn't killed the RX8.. I could make a similar claim on the Wankel since even the Renesis is the same basic design (motor) as the 70's 13B engines.
