I'm curious to know if it's like this everywhere else. I drive by people in mkvs all the time. None of them will even give a peace sign or a flash of the fogs or anything haha I wave to all of them, even ones that look awful, cuz we're supposed to be FAMILY :'( where is the vdubb love

It's a car... Not everyone bought it because of the make believe "VW soul"...

Really the only people that'll wave or throw the V are the ones that "modify" their car. Random lady that bought it because it was cheap will never think to wave at others.
The only "acknowledgement" I saw that spanned driver ages, race, vehicle model etc... was when I had a Jeep Wrangler. EVERY Wrangler owner would wave to one another!

Yea I drive a mkiv, but I know what you mean. When I first bought my VW 2 years ago, I was waving or giving a thumbs up to every VW I saw hahaha. I quickly learned all VW owners don't share the love that we feel.
Anyone who mods their VW will throw a peace at you or some love. I passed a mkII that was clean and he shot me a thumbs up when I waved. But most the stock VW owners are just point A to B car owners.

Its not like you are driving around a ferrari, its a normal economy car that for whatever reason (no good reason) some ppl (us) love.
Most buyers just bought the car because it was what they found for the right price that fitted their needs.
Obviously modded VW are different and most ppl driving them will wave or flash, I wave at almost all modded cars because I respect anyone who puts time and effort to improve their car.
