Anyone have any examples of where to install these that doesn't look ridiculous? I'd like to be able to see them in the cabin, but I can't seem to find a good place in this already-cluttered interior.
I've already got a boost gauge there, looking for somewhere to put two other gauges for a different reading of pressureMost people put their gauges in the vents. (not my picture by the way, it's a2thej22's)
Yeah, I've never done this air ride deal before and so I am not sure what to expect in terms of how much I will want to rely on seeing the gauges, but I thought being able to glance at them at any given time would probably be ideal. Any pictures of your set up?I have mine mounter right near the seat where the center console trim meets the carpet. Made a little mount out of abs plastic. Unless you're worried about constantly seeing the pressure put the somewhere low and inconspicuous.
I would probably just get a single din plate for my car specifically and cut my own gauge holes so it's all one piece. I just don't know that I want to get rid of my factory head unit...You can buy plates for double din openings that have gauge holes and allow for a single din radio. That would look cool if it were all color matched.
will do hahaIf it turns up, you know who to let know.
I've always thought both of those look pretty intrusive... The steering column less so, but I need a spot for two gauges!Gotcha, a lot of people buy the Podi gauge pod for the steering column that looks almost factory. And lots of people buy the pods for the drivers side A pillar too
I appreciate that. Does anyone know of any aftermarket head units that are notorious for looking good in a B5 interior? I would like to be able to use actual RCAs and USB in instead of analog auxiliary and a signal convertor. One thing that worries me is that my car is equipped with a Bose amplified system... I can't imagine I wouldn't have to rewire the majority of stereo? I'm pretty interested in just mounting the gauges in dash/center console below a single DIN.will do haha
also..."b5 and stupid hipster bicycle" i laughed...the two seem to go hand in hand...that or a 20"
I found a single din install kit with a pocket, and it looks like even if it were just flat, there wouldn't be room for the gauges.Start by looking for a hu that has. Red backlight. My pioneer with blue looks like ****
Where might I find this? You can buy plates for double din openings that have gauge holes and allow for a single din radio. That would look cool if it were all color matched.
Just two double needles gaugeshow many analog gauges are you trying to put in? I wouldnt install less than 3, imo.
imo, your best bet is to get something like the dakota digital and senders and mount the square led plate somewhere.. it fits in a lot more places.
