Felt I needed to cross post here as well. You don't have to read it or listen to me, just remember, not everything you read on the internet is true, including "scammer" accusations.

Honestly, this.

I've bought parts from Joe before and never had any issues. He's a really nice guy and was super reasonable.

So many people on here are getting there panties in a twist about something that they read one side of on the internet and deciding to become warriors about it.

Did he potentially lie about where he got the car from, maybe. Does it matter, no. If you want the car, maybe go and meet the guy selling it, have a look at it, ask some questions and then form your opinions. Why does his ad need to be anymore than it is, if you're considering buying a Mk4 for $15k then you probably already know what you are looking at.

Also, Banana Phone, IIRC you buy and sell lots of cars here as well. So does Joe, heck so do I and many others as well. its what we do. There is a difference between curb-siding and impulse buying more VWs than what you have space for. Joe made a few good buys recently, realized he cannot drive multiple vehicles at the same time, and decided to sell off the one that he has the least attachment to, and can make some money off of. There is nothing wrong with that, thats not a scam thats real life.. You don't see his newly acquired bike, or Mk3, or Passat up for sale.

And finally, mk21.8Tjetta. I have a lot I could say, but i'll keep it short. You're not interested in his car, so why are you here? Because you've "complained about his selling methods before"? Sorry, I wasn't aware everyone had to sell their vehicles in a manner approved by yourself. You are full of loud inaccurate accusations which you spam across multiple sections of vortex as you please, generally causing a bunch of unneeded hassle for people. Unless you have relevant information to add, maybe you should step off your high horse and re-evaluate what you are saying. Your comment towards 00redrt is uncalled for and unneeded, as well as your thread in the Ontario section.

I have met Joe and he's a really nice dude, sad thing is its not like he's new or some random account, he's been around, he's known. People buy wholesale cars and make profit all the time, sucks for the buyer sometimes and sometimes they never even know, but that's how it works, you would do it to given the chance, however limiting who you buy from due to association is dumb and to call the thread bumpers like Mao (who just bought a car from Joe) dumb is just un needed and rude.

It's nice to see someone doing homework on a large purchase and hell even after knowing still making offers but to make it public right away and have every other keyboard warrior jump in after just gives everything a sour feel.

TL:dr, someone did their homework, butts got hurt, grammar got fumbled, the Internet hate machine rolls on

It still doesn't justify blatantly lying about the car to sell it. I agree its up to the buyer to do their research but this is a public forum and one of the purposes is to educate which is what Chris was doing.

There is definitely no need for the labeling of a persons character by association though.

Disagree. If his budies are helping him with his scam, thay are just as guilty.

You are calling a guy out you because bumped a "scammer's" thread? Have you never bought a car from someone before and been happy with your purchase, so you gave the guy a bump? Mauricio is a stand up guy and doesn't deserve to be dissed because he had a good experience buying a car from Sinba.

As for Sinba, there is no harm in trying to make a buck selling a car; everyone on the vortex wants to buy low and sell high, he's not the only one. Lying about where the car came from and omitting some important facts are another story altogether.

I see your name in a whole bunch of FS threads, saying how you'll buy this or buy that. Do you ever pull the trigger or follow through on anything? People who waste other's time are equally responsible for bringing the vortex down with their BS. Maybe think twice before accusing people of things.

There's nothing wrong with buying and selling to make a profit. At all. That's how things work in most industries.

But lying (aka scamming) to people by saying it's a clean title car and lying how it was imported and by whom is shady and does warrant being called out. If he's sold 20+ cars a year he should know this by now.

This car does have a clean tittle, it is branded "NONE".

As for mk21.8Tjetta, the only reputation going down in this thread is yours. Stop while you still can. We all understand he wasn't 100% accurate or clear about the car, but as was said in the other thread (still don't know why you created this), you're making a mountain out of a mile hill. All of the people posting who vouch for Joe have great reputations on and outside of vortex. You'd see that too if you were an active member in the community.

If you're going to judge us all as scammers and horrible people because we "bump" a Vortex thread for a person whom we've had a successful deal with in the past (and has never actually scammed anyone) then go do it on your own, because people here won't agree with that "internet is serious business" logic.

A real scam can be that someone is using a fake VIN on a carfax to lie about a cars history, it can be re-vinning a vehicle, it can be accepting payment for goods and then sending damaged goods, or no goods at all, it can be lying about the working condition of an item, or it can be any deal you make with a Nigerian Prince. Its not this. Joe clearly is not trying to hide anything as he posted a picture of the actual ownership with the actual brand and actual VIN. It doesn't tae much to get fully disclosed history from that.
