thank you.
Just took mine out yesterday evening for a fun backroads romp all over northern MD. Found some nice new to me twisty little B roads and, with the sunroof open and tunes cranking, had a smile on my face. God damn do I love my MINI.god damn do I hate MINIs
That was about the dumbest idea for a speedo location... glad they finally fixed it :thumbup:From I've read it's supposed to be slightly bigger, new 3 cylinder engine and possibly diesel, Cooper S keeping hte current 1.6l turbo, and no more center speedo (but the dash shape looks roughly the same).

Exactly what I was thinking, they are one of the best FWD cars out there. Not sure where all the hate is coming from, this forum is oozing with anger latlely!I understand if Minis don't light your fire aesthetically. And everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
But if you really 'hate' Minis I think you need to re-test for your Enthusiast Card.

FYI: the current MINI has a digital speedo in the tach directly in front of the driver. The giant center speedo is merely a nod to the past. That was about the dumbest idea for a speedo location... glad they finally fixed it :thumbup:
I find this oddly arousing :what::sly:
Best cars, period. They are crazy expensive and have not been historically reliable, but there isn't much out there that can touch the driving experience.Exactly what I was thinking, they are one of the best FWD cars out there.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's just an option and not standard equipment, right?FYI: the current MINI has a digital speedo in the tach directly in front of the driver. The giant center speedo is merely a nod to the past.
Interdasting. I understand why it was there ... but just didn't think it was a good idea ...FYI: the current MINI has a digital speedo in the tach directly in front of the driver. The giant center speedo is merely a nod to the past.
No, it's standard.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's just an option and not standard equipment, right?
Standard. At least in the S. But the digits are not too big.Best cars, period. They are crazy expensive and have not been historically reliable, but there isn't much out there that can touch the driving experience.

Me thinks that's the DRLs; giant 'angel eye' type lights. The shots from above and with the reflector lighting up in the flash makes the headlights looks pretty weird.
