Do you think that there is magical hidden power after 6k rpm?

What can one do to turn over 6K RPM without a higher lift cam, turbo, supercharger, header or big dia. exhaust? :confused:
Most stock 2.0L only turn 4.5K - 5K :(
Really? Mine's bone stock..absolutely nothing beyond OE done to it, and I can hit 6400 in 3rd just fine. You're doing something wrong.
 
You can get a perfomance chip, from TT, Autotech, Neuspeed, C2, etc.. and they raise the rev limit to around 7,000 RPM. But just because it CAN rev that high doesn't mean it makes power after 5500.
The better thing to do if you want to rev higher would be a performance camshaft. The TT 276* has a usable powerband from 2k-7k.

As long as one can still feel it pulling it making power.
I won't have to replace the cam or chip it before it hits the rev limiter @ 6200.
 
It's a 2.0 it really doesn't matter. I had one for 10 years then swapped in a VR, now that is an engine that you take to redline.

Swap it out for a VR. That's really your only option. You just ruled out every performance upgrade for the 2.0.

Missed the point of this thread?

What's the point of this thread? You asked what you can do to go over 6k and then you're just going to ignore the advice everyone is giving you. These kinds of threads are really annoying.
Without chiping, higher lift cam, turbo, supercharger, header or big dia. exhaust.
 
Make a vid non stop showing the lift of the cam with a dial indicator, then driving down the road shifting 1-4 gear turning 6k at shift points.
Show me yours & ill show you mine.
You asked what needs to be done to rev past 6K rpm, and multiple people are telling you that its possible stock and they can do it. But you keep disregarding their info for some reason. Why even ask a question if your not even gonna accept the answer?
