So I've been working on my shaved bay build and I've gone ahead and removed the FCM and installed new after market slim fans, but I live in Florida and its for the most part always hot, so I've decided to keep the AC, only problem that I face with that is I've removed alot of the wiring that runs the stock AC/Fan setup.

So I was thinking alot the past few days about how to go about making the AC work (without freezing the AC lines) without all of the mess of wiring that was initially in the stock setup. This is my idea and I guess I'm just looking for anyone's opinion on if I'm heading in the right direction.

Oh and I know most people are gonna say why not just remove the whole system and deal with the heat, it's more of a want to accomplish than a need for AC that I'm looking for.

So this is my idea. I got the idea when looking at a vintage AC setup for a 60s camaro.
I'll take the connector that goes to the AC Compressor and cut the wiring but keep the connector running new wires to a Evaporator Thermostat which I'll use to regulate the compressor's on/off function based on the temp of the Evaporator. I'll then connect this to a toggle switch (if not connect it to the Stock AC button in the dash panel) and then connect to the battery and a grounded source.

For more visual people this is the idea. (don't mind the periods)

AC Compressor > Aftermarket Thermostat > Toggle Switch > Battery and Ground
..........................................V
....................................Evaporator

Let me know what you think and any input is appreciated.
