Hey guys!

So about a month ago I picked up an mk6 gti... The car was CPO and when I got it home I was digging through the glove box and found a Revo brochure folded up and tucked inside the drivers manual.
The car feels really fast and I spin the tires alot in second sometimes.. I was just wondering if VW would sell a chipped CPO car or other things that I can do that would let me k ow if the car is chipped or not.

Is this an issue for you having a chipped car? It's something you probably would have noticed driving couple of GTI's back to back...if you test drove a couple.

If you want your car to be returned back to stock, go to the dealer you bought it from and request to have your ecu remapped/updated. That should return you back to stock and erase the software.
 
Like nick said, if you're spinning tires in 2nd then you're probably chipped. I'm not chipped and I never really break loose in 2nd.
 
I just had a similar problem. The problem here is that if your car is chipped, reflashing the ECU still leaves that portion of your warranty null and void. If you're worried, you could always dyno it and see what it's putting down. Personally, my dealership wouldn't replace my ECU (required to restore the CPO warranty), and VW of America eventually forced them to replace it, but not without many phone calls and complaints to both sides, as well as my car missing for 3 weeks.
 
Boost gauge! It's always nice to have and to be able to check for boost leaks. And its fun to look at :D or vag-com and check requested boost. Stock levels should be like 12-13 psi (correct me if I'm wrong).
Buy a boost gauge
I agree, for everyone who owns a turbo, THIS should be their very first mod. :thumbup:

Alright well if this helps anything.... Tonight I raced my buddy In his 09 challenger r/t that's dyno tuned and has an intake... We raced from a 40 in second.... I pulled on him a **** ton... Can I just assume its chipped?
