A buddy and I stopped by the VW/Audi HQ in Herndon and they had this parked out back.

Sorry for the lousy interior shot. I couldn't get a better one with my phone.

It's pretty stunning in person and makes me look forward to turning in our MKVI lease in 2 years. :p

EDIT: Something I just noticed, the mounts for the side mirrors are real thin. Very sleek looking.

Nice find.

Did you happen to make note of the size of the infotainment screen? Wondering if the US is going to get the 8" screen, or if we're going to be forced to accept something smaller.

Looks like the same vehicle that TFL reviewed in Napa. Video is on YouTube. If it is then that is an euro spec car.
The one I saw has the same license plate on the back as the one in the TFL review.

Its too bad this probably is nowhere close to the US spec car, as history has told us, US buyers always get the shaft on the cool stuff.

Side note, I'd love to have "EURO-SPEC VEHICLE" printed on my visors ;);)

After taking a look at the MK7 Golf TDI video, it appears that would be more similar to how the US spec car would be equipped.
*Did you see how small that radio screen is!!

Also upgrading the radio on lower trims is going to be a bitch now that the face is integrated into the dash. looks like a lexus now

Ugh. I really hope they don't saddle us with the smaller screen. The screen in our Durango is so much more usable because of its size over last year's model.

Small screen might = no sale for me. The current RNS system screens are downright dinky by the newer standard info systems. I was hoping for an improvement.
