Got some more work done today.

Installed the intermediate shaft and ignition leeds + distributor (had to see what it would look like)

I also installed the oil cooler bracket. Think i am going for both water cooled and air cooled. Any opinions on this? Not completely sure what to do..

Modified Audi rs2 intake

Also installed the turbo manifold to see how it would look

every damn time a norwegian cuts up a car and starts welding my eyes pop out of my head:eek:

I was looking over my engine today when it occured to me: It doesen't have an oil breather! The breather on a G60 engine is in the cylinder head, while the breather on the 16V engine is in the engine block. I realized I had a problem so I had to do some work.
Since it is not the best idea to run a cylinder head oil breather on a turbo charged engine I decided that this hole in the block would be my best option:

I took the cover, did some measurements and drilled a 20mm hole in it. The plan is to weld a male weld bung in the hole. Probably get it done next week.

I am using a 02M 5speed gearbox. Wanted the 6speed one but I managed to find the 5speed close to where I live so just went for it. As for the Haldex controller I went for this easy solution: http://www.volksforum.com/albums/files/2/7/5/05092007091.jpg
http://www.volksforum.com/albums/files/2/7/5/05092007089.jpg Could not find the page where I got the idea from. But basically you just drill a hole in that spot and thread it. When you put a screw in until it stops you should have opened a needle that activates 100% of the rear diff. Then you just wire up the Haldex pump to a switch and voila, you have front wheel drive/all wheel drive at the flick of a switch. That's the theory anyways. Have not tried yet. But according to people on the page I found it on it works just fine.

Very interesting!! My dream is to make my GTI AWD, but here sourcing parts is like finding gold. Continue with your project and posting progress and details, it really helps guys like me to have a more clear picture of what is needed. Thanks!!

I finally found a rallye steering rack on German Ebay to get the ratio right. Other than that, no updates. There is something I have forgoten to post though: Team GIK Turbo which I am a member of, ran our Original DTM BMW E30 M3 (previously driven by the legendary Johnny Cecotto) at the 2013 Gatebil Ekstrem series last year in Norway. We had a setback when the rear differential blew up in the first lap of qualifying puting us in last position in the race (28th). Despite this setback, driver Marcelo Garcia (my brother) managed to finish in 6th place in this 6 lap race. Most of the cars in this race had well over 500 bhp, and up to over 1k bhp, while our car only ran with 501 bhp. This becomes obvious on the main straight. I guess a 10 year history of gokart racing taught him a thing or two about how to race ;) The video gets a bit foggy after awhile due to dust on the lens. Hazzards of racing. The car is running a NA M5 V8. We will be back this year with a turbo charger and a lot of changes in the setup of the car. There are a lot of cool cars to be seen in this video. Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyB6dsAizMw
