If there were any doubts lingering about Mercedes-Benz's intentions to offer an Estate (T-Model and Wagon are two other monikers used by Stuttgart) version of the new C63 AMG, these fresh spy shots are here to place them at rest. Whether it will be sold outside of Europe and specifically in North America, however, is another story…

Despite the heavy body cladding, there's no way you can miss the huge brakes and calipers peeking through the alloy wheels, as well as the quad exhaust pipes resting on the rear bumper.

In production guise, the C63 AMG Estate will also have flared wheel arches, a more extensive aerodynamic package together with a different hood and grille from the regular C-Class station wagons of the W205 series, expected later this year.

Besides getting more room and practicality for luggage at the back over the upcoming C63 AMG sedan, the two body styles will share their sports-trimmed interiors and performance upgrades, including a new 4.0-liter bi-turbocharged V8 engine with a minimum of 450-horses in base form, and if Mercedes does add a Black Edition, in excess of 500hp.

The C63 AMG Wagon will likely be offered exclusively with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

Mercedes-Benz is planning to extend its new C-class line-up with a performance orientated C450 AMG Sport.

Planned for introduction in 2015, the new model has been conceived to bridge the gap between the C400 and upcoming C63 AMG. Power hails from a tuned version of Mercedes' M276 petrol engine.

The twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 unit has been revised with added boost pressure and other detailed changes, taking its output from a standard 333bhp to 367bhp, according to well placed Mercedes-Benz sources.

Although not an official AMG model, the C450 AMG Sport has been developed with input from Mercedes-Benz’s performance car division and, unlike the rear-wheel drive only C63 AMG, is set to be old in both rear-wheel drive and optional 4Matic four-wheel drive guises.

 I might just do another Mercedes lease in 2015. Hopefully the C450 4-Matic:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Sat in W205 C250 CDI yesterday.

Holy moly! What an interior! Honestly, I am very hard to please when it comes to interior quality but this one absolutely blew my mind. It is fairly simple without too many buttons, but each knob and switch felt fairly similar to the old school Mercedes Benz cars, as in they felt like they'd still be working in exact same way 40 years from now.

The model I sat in was loaded to the teeth full of technology I did not think would ever make it to a car. It even had this silly thing called "scent dispenser". :D

I did not have a chance to test drive it yet, but if it goes as well as it looks I may seriously consider getting an estate version which is supposed to land here late this year.

I am yet to drive the new 3-series though, so that would be an interesting option as well.

I agree, the interior is out of this world for a $40K car. It easily shames my $60K E class. The detailing is first-class, especially the air vents and the Burmester stereo grilles. :)

The 3 Series and A4 are going to be in for a surprise I surmise.

I drove a C300 4Matic last week with the Airmatic. What a sweet setup. The car instantly firms up and everything becomes livelier when set to Sport+. On Comfort or Eco it rides like a magic carpet.

Saw them tonight and was blown away. For $41k, A base model c300 is so much nicer and has more features than a plain 328i BMW.
Did you actually sit in the base model? The interiors everyone is fapping to here are the fully loaded $60k ones. Too much for a C-class, $40k-$45k would be the sweet spot.

BS. The C300 I test drove was $48K and nearly fully loaded, and had the same interior.

It had 4Matic, Airmatic, bi-xenons, 8.4 in. nav, Burmester stereo and panoramic sunroof.
