Reverse image search made that one way too easy, because there is no way Gerbil took pictures with: (1) that kind of clarity, and (2) with the subject matter entirely within the frame.

:laugh:

Reliability? Didn't his rear diff blow up right after purchase of said CTS-V?
Yeah, but even counting that...this new car presents a lot more maintenance risk
You traded lots of horsepower, reliability, and extensive aftermarket support for better traction (ok) and... refinement?

I hope you like it. Show us some cool features that you'll never find on pleb cars.
A LOT of comfort and refinement. But now he has to explain why he is driving an a4 instead of his cts

Sweet ride. The D3 S8 is a handsome looking car and that V10 is just incredible. If it was mine I'd love to hear it scream maybe 10% of the time, which means a driver adjustable exhaust with electronic exhaust flaps to control the sound would be a must. No way I could deal with F1 volumes on a daily basis. So add another $8,325 for a Kreissieg exhaust on top of the mandatory rainy day fund to keep the car healthy when the inevitable Audi reliability rears its ugly head.

It sucks that your ownership experience with the V didn't pan out well. Replacing it with a V10 S8... I like the direction you went in :thumbup:

How do you replace an LS_ engined car? You buy a sedan with a bonafide Lambo-derived V10!

That's a lovely car... you're a brave soul but I applaud you for taking the plunge. There's nothing quite like driving a very large, very fast car. Now, set out on an epic road trip with that sucker! :thumbup:

An 80k mile non warranty S8? Brave man.

In for fake rich comnents.
I was curious, so went and read a few long-term reviews of the S8. Aside from accelerated tire wear, these seem pretty reliable overall. Couldn't find any real horror stories when it comes to maintenance or problems. The only big potential downside are accidents: Road & Track managed to crash their long-term S8 three times, in addition to spilling a bottle of water on the passenger seat, shorting out the heater, motor, etc. Those repair bills were not pretty. :thumbup:

Beautiful car. :thumbup:

I too said "if it breaks, I'm prepare to pay for it" when I briefly owned a B6 S4. Turns out the uncomfortable feeling of never knowing what could go wrong was not something I enjoyed living with.

I LOVE the interior in these cars. You feel like you're in something special when you sit behind the wheel. Very elegant, not overwraught, but with plenty of luxury. I'll admit... I'm jealous. Only a bit. :laugh::beer:

I'd slap an exhaust on that V10, drive like an asshat through residential neighborhoods, and never turn the stereo on again
:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::eek:

Cheers to you on taking the plunge! Gorgeous car (REALLY hoping it doesn't cost you too much to keep on the road)! :beer::)
