Must be the picture then; the spokes looked small to me. My mistake. I never would have guessed they're 18's because guess what... you're in the mk3 forum.

Old quote, however I'm glad to see a wheel like this (mine were made by Image), as I picked up a set of five about six months ago for around $250. Sorta coincidence, but I was ppulling them out of their boxes last night, getting them ready to have tires mounted (for the first time ever it seems), when I realized I'd only ever inspected the loose one (obviously a display model) and one of the four still in their original boxes. So I start opening all of them and I'd always assumed they'd been used for at least a short amount of time, however, all four in the boxes still had the warning sticker over the valve stem holes, and I start inspecting the manufacture sticker. They were a custom one off set, which I knew based on the size being 7.5 wide, when all my research (what little I could find of them) showed that they only made 6.5 and 7, so that's fine. What I wasn't expecting was the date. I'd assumed early 2000's. Nope, 10/19/94, which makes me happy because my Jetta is a 94. So for 21 years, they sat in their original packaging, never mounted, never touched it seems really. Pics, of course :p
Tl;Dr I scored a sweet old set of phone dial ripoffs, minty fresh, unused for what I consider a steal, and I'm glad to see another version of it existed.
