All,
I went out today and as I left in the afternoon I noticed the white bar that shows the fuel level isn't there. I searched and couldn't find anything maybe one of you guys know what it could be?

Hm yeah it did correct itself after I started the car up a few hours later. Still find it odd though, what would cause that?

no clue. Everytime it happened I would scan the car for codes but it came up empty. I wasn't planning on keeping the car for long so I never took it to the dealer.

That is an odd one.. At least you have a pic of it for proof. Show the pic to your dealer. perhaps they have an idea.
But don't be surprised if they say everything is working within normal limits. :banghead:
That's my guess too. Even with that picture as proof they'll say we couldn't replicate it. Dropping it off tomorrow let's see how it goes.

Same thing happened to my GF's 2014 Jetta! Keep us updated with what the dealer says.
Will do! Dropping it off tomorrow for them to work on it Monday. I'll let you guys know what I find out. I did some searching, and I found this issue prevalent on more of the TDIs than the gas based motors. Maybe something fuel pump or float related?

I'm curious to hear what they have to say about it. My car has done that twice. Well...it showed as empty once. Another time...it showed as ~1/2 tank when I just put 12 gallons in it (It was completely full). Maybe this comes down to the "VW's have personality" thing?
