Skoda's part of the Volkswagen family of companies. Others include Audi, Seat, and (surprise) Bentley. The parent company has influence on all the designs its 'children' produce.

Audi TT (Golf in lingerie*)
Seat Leon (cheapest Golf clone*)
Seat Toledo (Leon with a boot*)
Skoda Octavia (it's another of those Golf clones*)
VW Golf
VW Bora (Golf bag*)
VW New Beetle (Golf in a party frock*)

Geez, they got their money's worth....any more?
