Just like the title. Do you have pic's of your set up? Where did you mount the activation switch, Puge button, remote bottle opener switch, and bottle heater switch. Just doing some pre-install planning. Also where did you mount the bottle. I am thinking in the spare tire well. Pic would be GREAT.

Re: Running Nitrous? Where did you mount the switches? (H2oVento)

I wired my activation (arm) into a spare rear defroster switch. I'd personally wire the Bottle heater and Bottle opener to that switch as well. So when the bottle is open, it's heated and armed. Purge I'd put a foot switch down by the dead pedal. Have it only powered when the system is armed.

I hate it when I see arm and activation switches side by side (at least when they are the same type switch). My arm switch is under my dash, and of course my WOT switch is under the pedal, and my activation is activated by turning on the fog lights, so that not only do you have to have your light switch turned "on", but you have to "pull" it to activate the fogs and n2o.
If you ever see my fogs come on, you know somethings up.

...only bad thing is that in a drag race, your left hand is on the wheel, while the right hand shifts... which makes for a shuffling of hands in the cockpit just to activate. Still pretty trick setup... I like it.

opener & arming switch are in the coin tray under/near ebrake & armrest.
slightly hidden and clean install

sorry this is the only pic ic an find for now its pretty dark,
but its just to the left of the shifter, look down and youll see the little chrome ring of the arming switch. next to it a red square purge button. next to that is the black 2 way remote bottle opener button. i also had NX IC mister kit but the button was not in there. sorry for the dark pic ill try to find some other ones. this is my old car though so, i might not have any luck. good luck to you! also you might wanna try putting the switches right below your shifter like where right where the ebrake button is, is you know what i mean.

I am actually gonna have a push button start put in my car. Its a large black push button with a rubber cover over top of it. I have a real trick spot that I will be putting it in. It won't be going in until the winter when I have some other stuff put in but I can't wait. Its more of a safety thing also Not to many people are gonna go looking for a push button start if I ever got my keys stolen and they tried to strt my car.

Sometime earlier in the year in the MKIV forum some kid had his car broken into and his dad was something like an electrician or something and he had his dad rig up a starter button under the wheel or something. Just thought I'd mention it.

Hummm.. ok

Re: Running Nitrous? Where did you mount the switches? (H2oVento)

I run two bottles and two push buttons, one on each side of the wheel, just like my hero in "The Fast & the Furriest"

those push button starters are worthless...you have to put your key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position and then reach down and push the start button....might as well just keep turning the key

yeah, they are for real racecars and drag vehicles, you know, the kind without keys.... A friend of mine has an 11 second chevy van, thing is sweet, there are three of these buttons, one to turn on the fuel pump, one to turn on the ignition, and one to start the engine...... completely worthless in a street-driven car IMO

Re: Running Nitrous? Where did you mount the switches? (gintaras)

ok, i posted the pics of the push button for possible use with a nitrous kit
Image
....just kinda etch off the word "engine" on the button and i think it would be pretty cool, especially this one, that designed to go into out cigarette lighter hole, hidden beneath the panel
Image
i think it would be ridiculous to use this as an actual engine start, too much work to turn a damn car on!
