I'm out of here. The $1500 bill to fix my air conditioner at 50,000 miles was the last straw. I've sold my 2000 GTI GLX. I hope you have better luck with your VW than I did.

my a/c isnt working and i dont even have 30k on my car. I hope my extended warranty covers it. I will ask before they do any diagnosis because they'll otherwise hit me up with a diagnosis fee.

I don't to dealer service. As a matter of fact, a/c stuff is the only thing I'll take a car in for, to any shop.
I don't have the equiptment, nor do I care to have it. Most of that 525 is a 269 for a drier/reciever...

I went to the other extreme. I need more space and wanted off-road ability for the beach on Martha's Vineyard and for hunting in the fall. So I got a 2003 V8 4Runner.
So when you are cursing that monster gas-sucking SUV pig in front of you that you can't see around, that'll be me

Hmm, space and monster do not come to mind when thinking of a 4Runner. The new ones are nice looking but they're barely SUV's. Have fun with that one!
