well, I figured out why my alarm went off this am. Somone decided to punch a hole in my door handle and have a looksee!!! Son of a b*tch!!! I've never had anyone try and enter my car, wtf!! The door handle is ok, but I have a hole a bit larger than a screwdriver right above it. I can now see why some people have shaved their cars. I dont even know what to do. I guess I'll try and find a shop that I can trust and suck up the repair. I wish we had armor plates for our doorhandles. New York F&cking city...

i've had that happen to me.. it is $hitty.. nice little hole cost $400 to fix.. or at least that's what the insurance estimator said.. it is a pain in the a$$ though.. i mean, if all the thieves knew how easy it is to break into these cars, we'd all have shaved handles

sorry to hear jebreh...one of the bad things of this city, but I still think the good out weighs the bad. I've had my whole ICE system stolen from right in my driveway!

the reason my doors are shaved exactly and i wish i had pictures cause i've got you one better. someone took a crow bar to my handle and rippid it right out leaving a hole like 3"x7" or so haha man did it suck putting my finger thoguh my door to open it... it looked to ghetto... but even one better after they ripped the door handle off the couldn't figure out that all you had to do to open the door was pull the slide to unlock and push down on the little knob... so they than smashed out the window to open the door..

they couldn't have done that in the first place? and they ripped speakers out to save time and pulled the head unit out regarless wires were attached... probably cause my alarm is rediculously loud!

I don't have a big stereo in my car b/c im not a big stereo person. As long as I can hear my music well I could care less about having a 15" sub in the trunk of my car. I have a nice head unit and some decent speakers and thats it. I try and keep all the important **** out of my car, like my CD collection thats worth about a grand.
But this is what I do, I leave my doors unlocked now. I had an incident like this back in Feb. while the car was getting body work done. Some jackass decided to take a screw driver to my lock cylinders and open her up. Didn't work but messed up the lock cylinders pretty good. The reason why I leave them unlocked is I would much rather have a low life POS gang bangin ass clown steel my stereo and speakers than, break windows, pry open the doors w/ a crow bar, or destroy lock cylindars to try and get in. To me thats so much more damage than a lost head unit. I remember some poor bastard on here that lost his car b/c the insurance company wouldn't pay for the pried open door that some dousche bag did w/ a crow bar. I feel really bad for the people that this has happend to.
This of course doen't apply to everyone on here b/c I know some of you have 2-3 thousand dollar systems in your car. I guess for you guys is get a good alarm w/ like pit bulls that materialize in mid air when the shock sensor goes off. But at any rate I just leave them unlocked, and put the Club on my wheel in the city.
