Traded in my '02 GLX for a new '03 GLS 1.8T with every possible option. I came out of the deal with $3700 in my pocket, tax, title and license paid, cheaper insurance, cheaper fuel costs, and cheaper payments. And I must say it is much more fun to drive.

sad. . . .

Because he "came out of the deal with $3700 in my pocket, tax, title and license paid, cheaper insurance, cheaper fuel costs, and cheaper payments?" Or because "it is much more fun to drive?" LOL. VR6ers show no luv or respect for the 1.8T.
I'd say based on the first statement, that's far from sad

Sounds like a hell of a deal to me!

Re: (Simans82)

I was about to do the same for a better 1.8t with more options......sunroof, manual, 17" longbeaches....and basically pay $1500 and keep the same monthly payments(which is what i planned on paying for new wheels alone) but then some bastard hit me and i ended up going through such a pain in the ass with my car's damages that i just want to drive it now. anyways thats an awsome car 1.8t's are way mroe fun....now chip it and see the real power!!

Re: My new daily driver, aka what I traded my "nose heavy pig" for! (RyanDice)

Thanks for props. Well I paid peanuts for the GLX so making money on it was easy. I had no problems with it being a VR6 whatsoever. That particular car was just a lemon. 15 dealer visits in one year for stupid stuff that just got on my nerves. 3 MAF sensors in the first 2700 miles! I find the 1.8T to be very enjoyable, and moreso than the VR6, IMO. I miss the low end torque and the sweet exhaust note but that's about it. With the $3700 I'm going for some coilovers, Revo and an intake to start
