What happened to the gas guage's needle? Or am I blind?
Looks like it's the type that returns to E when the car is off, so it's just out of view in that picture.

hes made $408,555 (minus maintenance) off of the mileage alone!
No, he had a tax writeoff of $408,555 (assuming your calculation is accurate) only if he had the income to offset it (around 100K a year if he does 200K miles a year). Which I'm assuming if he drives 16 hour days 5 days a week he would. Either way that would amount to at best a 35% income tax savings so really only about $143K :p

Still nothing to laugh at because I'm sure his actual cost per mile is less than the 50 something cents the IRS allows.

"Last October, he moved on to a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek, which already is approaching the 70,000-mile mark"

TCL said the reliability is overrated on this brand (Japanese VW) so that means he'll likely require a head gasket or engine rebuild by year's end.

Is there anyway to track his progress in true delta?

oh, ok, I guess I read it wrong. I know when I use my car for work my company pays me the $.55/mi, but I guess if he is a contractor for a company he only gets to write it off for taxes.
