hey all new guy here, i just picked up a 87 Jetta GL...it has the 1.8 and thats all i know lol....i was reading and im assuming its 10:1 compression, not really sure on that though...it has 140k miles, the body is in great shape for being that old, has the usual dents and dings a car that age would have, but no rust http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif ....the back driver side door doesnt work (the ladies can cram in the other side, cuz you know they love vdubage)

....and it needs a new clutch badly but thats as far as we can see problem wise...but now the real problem....finding some way to get that 14b turbo in that engine bay
Image
...i hope to learn lots of stuff here

Re: New guy :D (scottba2gti)

Welcome......
Now 14b is for Japanese cars. We in the Vdub world and especially MK2 land stay away from Japanese products. Now if you get a Garrett/ATP turbo, your straight. Also you will need alot more then a turbo to make it work. All in all, you have a nice platform to start with and i hope to see it in the future with some mods. Good Luck http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
