For those of you using the Greddy TT and having wiring problems, here are the revisions to make it work. Well, I didn't have a book and had to figure it out on my own. Can you say pain in the azz?
Line #7 - At the ignition switch you'll find a black wire with a grey tracer (stripe) Tap your ACC wire from the TT into this wire. At the fuse block you'll find fuse #31, access the backside and you'll find it's a solid black wire. Tap your ON wire from the TT into this wire.

Line #17 - The green wire with the blue tracer (stripe) at the ignition switch is the wire you'll tap into for the relay (pin 86) which is the key input signal.
All of the rest is straight forward as per SwankMonkey's instructions. A BIG THANKS to the author!
Oh, almost forgot, didn't have enough time yet to connect the E brake wire so I disabled that option.
GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for that update, mines going in Tuesday. How long would it take, knowing what you know now?

I would say a clean install would take 3 hours if your going to hook up the E brake wire. My thing was trying to figure out where to mount it and how to mount it. The column covers on the Golf have a radius to them and the tape supplied won't hold it in place on top. I used velcro and it looks good sitting there, almost like a Japanese car, but better

Did you tap into #31 instead of #6? I tapped into #6 and now I can't lock the car until the TT cuts off. Also my DRL's come on with the key instead of the brake, and my speedo dosen't work.

Macedo-
Good heads up. However, I just installed a Defi unit on a '01 and it was wired like a '00. I think the wiring was a running change, so anybody installing one should check to see what color wires they have coming off the column, regardless of model year.....

Can't find the Blue/Purple wire that connects to the 87 pin on the relay:
where is it?
what does this wire do? (maybe I have a different color config since I have a southamerican market engine)
Please heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!

Re: **01 Wiring revisions for SwankMonkey Turbo Timer Install** (superalancito)

took me under 45mins to do all the wiring.
hardest part was mounting the actual unit, but it looks factory, and its in my ideal location
