I was replacing the Engine mounts and I left the the fluid in the Reservoir as to not disconnect it completely. However, once I got the job done and put it back in place, I noticed that these hose attachments popped up! What is this mechanism and how do I reinsert these tube attachments? I do not work on VWs that much so I am pretty novice on the parts. Any help would be amazing!

That happened to mine too when I took the engine mount out. As long as the top connectors are fully connected you're good. The bottom position of the hoses doesn't really matter.

Lol! Does that contraption even have a name? I almost went out to buy a repair manual just to figure it out!

After I noticed that the hoses had moved I attempted to open this box. It didn't want to open so I left it alone.

Two of the lines carry fuel and the others are vacuum. I don't know the box's name.

Mahalo! I am gonna let it be since there aren't any codes being tripped. You think vw could of placed those important hose lines In a better spot as a preventative measure for dyi mechanics!
