Got to test drive a new Tiburon GT V6 today (a friend is looking for a new car, so we checked the Hyundai out). It was the totally loaded one, with all packages and the 6-speed manual tranny. To sum it up: this car is awesome. The shifter feel is miles above VW's. The engine sounds great. The car is fast (and has lots of torque), the suspension is really tight. I had no problem squealing the tires when shifting to second gear. When you shift to second, you can almost get whiplash, that's how much torque it has. Body roll was so little, it makes my VW sport suspension feel like a Buick. The seats are nice and comfortable. The leather was not that good though. The interior is surprisingly good, didn't look cheap at all. The plastic looks similar to VW's. Interior was not as simple and well laid-out as VW, but who the hell cares when everything else feels so good. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of head room (I'm 6'3"), and was almost touching the ceiling. Overall, I give it http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
This car was black and had the 17" rims with Michelin Z-rated tires, which squealed and smelled nice during hard cornering.

The MSRP was a bit above 20K. I (and my friend agreed) would personally skip the sunroof and spoiler and save 1500, which would bring it down to 19K. At that price it would be hard to choose between the Tibby or a GTI. Plus, the Tibby looks really good on the outside.
Edit: I am a die-hard German car fanatic, so if you hear from me that this car is good, it must be!!

Re: 03 Tiburon GT V6 driving impressions (A4Jetta)

They styling of all the Hyundais leave a little to be desired.
For some reason, they all have the "bloated" look, as if though the designers HAD a stunning car, then someone blew in the exhaust pipe and the car inflated "slightly" in areas.
I saw one today, and I didn't think it was attractive.
