I have Skoda octavia with 09G transmission. It does this weird thing between 3rd and 4th where the RPMs go up and down then shifting from 3rd to 4th gear ... all gears shift smoothly up and down except this issue.
What is problem and what can I do ?

I would start troubleshooting, the problems; using a factory level vw scan tool, like vcds by ross tech and view live data, look for any trouble codes. There are a wide range of common problems, from gear selector assembly failure, bad sensors, defective wiring harness or sticking solenoids, in the valve body.

There are no faults for gear !
