Im going to be putting a 2L in the 84 so Ill have the 1.8 block left over. I was thinking of putting it in the 80, with a JH head to give it some more power. Im just unclear on how this would work because the 80 has no computer so would I just have to find a CIS computer and fuel injection system. Or would it be easier to find carbs and go that route. Any suggestions would be greatly appriecated.

Re: 1.6 for a 1.8 (RoccinStrybs84)

Does the car that currently has the 1.6 have CIS-basic? I assume it does, and that will work fine with the 1.8- just drop it in and plug the injectors into the head.

You shouldn`t have any prob . the computer is mainly for the O2 sensor which your 80 didn`t come with . One word of advice , go with a euro style manifold or a header , the stock mani`s suck for making any power .
