what is available?
what are the stock cam measurements?
who has aftermarket cams?
is it a worthwhile upgrade?

I know there are cams for 1.8T are available from Dr. Schrick and Piper. There are some guys posting their results with cams at 1.8T Forum

I read those threads and it sounds like 1.8T cams are more trouble than they're worth, plus you'll need a custom ECU program. If you're reeeaaaaally patient, then go for it. Otherwise, stock cams are the best.
IMHO, cams are the last thing I'd do for power on a 1.8T. K04, chip, exhaust, DP, cat, suspension, wheels/tires, motor mounts, swaybars....that'll cost ya.
Cam & their installs are expensive, but if you're one of the few power mongers like 1.BillyT, then cams might be a good idea if you're opening up the motor to build it, anyway.
