Re: 1.8t in a corrado (junkyardpirelligolf)

i'm going to buy it for sure....it only has a couple of thousand miles on because it got wrecked and the insurance company decided to total the car and i'm picking it up from that body shop. it's complete w/ head, block, turbo, all sensors, ecu, wiring harness, and trans. just how hard will it be to fit that motor in my car???

Re: 1.8t in a corrado (scarywoody)

i plan on getting rid of dbw and using the cable throttle because the corrado is already set-up for that. i just need to know how the motor will bolt up...any problems or does it bolt right in???

your car is already set up for a throttle cable? you mean it has a throttle cable?

The motor will bolt right up. use all your G60 motor mounts, ditch the passat mounts. you need a new intake manifold. dont know if your turbo will fit onto the passat exhaust manifold (you didnt mention what turbo you had) the block will bolt right to your tranny, just use your g60 flywheel, get it lightenend first, might as well while its out right?
