It looks like you covered everything. Hows she running?

Timing belt & tensioner, the three oil seals on the nose of the engine (cam, intermediate, crankshaft) are identical and cheap, do them when you change TB. How bout CV joints/boots? VW used to reccomend repacking CV joints @ 30-50K miles, now with same grease they don't mention it! CV boot kits are cheap, like $20 each or less on line and CV joints cost $$ so I repack @ 50-60K miles at least. Rear wheel bearings repacked, new grease seals? Flush brake fluid every other year? For autos change fluid/filter every 30K miles or so, for 5 speeds change oil 50-60K miles (try Redline MTL to keep things smooth as the miles add up). Flush power steering fluid every 50-60K miles make sure to get right stuff (Pentosin) don't use regualar fluid from Pep Boyz! Flush power steering is ez, just suck out old fluid with turkey baster, refill, drive a bit, repeat process to get system really flushed out.

hey guys do u think i should replace the alternator too .. or is that good?
Re: 100,000 mile maintainence check.... (DJ MiCRoByTe)

Only replace that when/if it goes. Like the starter motor...why replace it if it isn't bad?

Mine is at 130k. my front wheel bearings went, the 3 engine seals he mentioned went, the transmition had the rivot problem (ie. hole in crankcase..4hrs from home) all thats fixed , still on original waterpump.. (how do you know when its going?) no i think the valves may be getting louder. and it ticks lightly upon cold start up . what could that be? just got new wires and pugs cap, rotor and didn't fix. how many miles can we expect to get from this engine?

DJ: All you worry about is whether your engine is running good? You want to get to 200K miles with good performance and no breakdowns, you'd better look beyond the engine for PM items!!!
Re: 100,000 mile maintainence check.... (spitpilot)

what do you mean by PM items????
