12V or 24V on 1994 VR6?
Can anyone tell me if the 1994 VR6 engine is a 12V or a 24V? I bought the car used and I have no idea which it is.

What!? The 24v VR6 has been on offer for close to two years now in the Eurovan and more recently in the Golf and Jetta.

Basically the only way you can have a 24v in America is if you have a new Eurovan, you got a swap, or you have alot of friends REALLY high in the VW food chain.

and...yes, they DO sound MUCH better than the 12 valve does with stock exhaust. Power everywhere!

The EuroVan has had the 24 valve VR6 in it since '01 but the intake manifold is entirely different in design, also made of 100% cast aluminum as opposed to the composite plastic style you see in these pics. All 24 valve VR6 motors now use independent coil pack-over plug setup which means no spark plug wires, similar to the 1.8T motor.

On the money. Here is a pic of a '02 Jetta GLX that we got at the Gunther VW of CC. This is about the 2nd or 3rd 24 valve Jetta that I've seen in our dealership.[HR][/HR]
