13's all motor

I want my car to be able to run 13's on all motor. I have heard guys talking about it a lot and I am wondering how much modding and what mods were done to get 13's. Does it cost a butt load of money to get 13's? I am going to turbo charge my car, so I am not really looking to make it a high compression engine. I want to make it a 13 second car b4 I turbo it though. My car is a GTi by the way.

A good driver, weight reduction to around 2700-2750lbs w/driver, Chip,Intake,2.5in exhauast, Test Pipe and Cams.

i dunno if you can get into 13s with that stuff..... youll probably also need some head work, and if you wanna go turbo down the line, the cams youd want for N/A performance wont really suit your needs. you kinda need to choose a direction you wanna go. do an N/A motor with really high compression and a large bore and stroke, or do a lower compression turbo motor. your call.

I was thinking of maybe a stroker kit, CAI, chip, exhaust, and high flow intake mani.

Ok... fine don't listen to the person who actually has ran 13.9 allmotor.... thats up to you....
Also if your only a so-so driver, you can add the mk4 headgasket and ur pulleys and you should have no problem getting into the 13's unless your on the lower ladder of drivers

You don't know what you are talking about... cuz you only have 5 Vortex post. So, until you get your internet racer certificate (achieved at reaching 1000 vortex posts) I will have to call BS.

Well, I know someone who went 13.8 with 268s, gutted stock airbox, factory exhaust minus the suitcase, Quaife, 3.94s, on drag tires.
So it is not unattainable without boring or headwork. Same car went 14.2 on street tires with low pressure, and 3.39s.
edit: BTW, it was also a 98 GTi minus the back seat.

13's all motor is extremely possible, there are at least 4 people on this board that have done, 3 have posted in this thread already.
The right mods including wheels, tires, intake, minor weight reduction and plenty of time behind the wheel will get you there.

Well, what about the stroker. I thought that would give me some torque and some hp to help me run 13's. If I am going low compression w/o FI (as of right now) can I still run 13's? What would be my approx. 0-60 time? BTW, I am a very good driver. You know that stuff under the hood of the car, I mean attached to the bottom of the hood. Its like carpet. What does it do? If it is not that important I guess I could remove it to save some weight. Other than that, I guess diet and exercise will have to work.

Not to be rude, but after 6 people just told you what was needed then you made this post you ain't ever going 13's allmotor.
Also how do you know your a good driver??? What car with what mods have you driven down the 1/4 mile and what was your e/t... If you just think your a good driver because you think so, there is a very good chance your gonna get to that track and be very surprised at the outcome.
But to answer your questions
Low Compression = Less Power, but why and how do you plan on going low compression while allmotor ???
Why would you get a stroker kit some thing is permantly done to the motor if you plan on going turbo ? Especially because a stroker kit is like $3-4,000.
The carpet under the hood is there for heat insulation, most people removed it cause it looks like crap. It's a good start but it's only about 3-5lbs you need alot more then that.
Finally exercise and diet isn't the type of weight reduction you need... you need to removed weight from the car. If you don't wanna remove anything from your car, your definately not gonna see 13's while allmotor

a good driver is the most important because theres peeps here with less power than me, and heavier cars (mk3s) who are going faster than me, WHY, cuz they have been practicing more than me, so what do i do, practice more....ahhhhhhh

trust me its quite a surprise when you actually GO to the track AND RACE. thats the best thing to do. at least i can say ive improved when i go. lets see what i pull this weekend.
